Discontinued unbranded range. These WAGO-style connectors are brand new and carry our standard 12-month warranty. For genuine WAGO parts, see the 221-412, 221-413 and 221-415.

Lever nut connectors splice wires in seconds with no twisting, no wire nuts and no tools. A flip-up lever on each port clamps solid, stranded or fine-stranded wire from 0.2 to 4mm², rated 32A at 450V, and opens again whenever you need to re-wire. Pick 2 pole to join two wires, 3 pole for three or 5 pole for five. Sold individually, so buy the count your job needs.

Lighting and downlight wiring
LED strip and sign connections
Junction box splices and branches
Appliance and fixture repairs
Caravan, boat and 12V accessory wiring

How to use

  1. Strip the wire

Take about 11mm of insulation off each conductor.

  2. Lift the lever

Flip the lever fully up to open the port.

  3. Insert and close

Push the wire all the way in, then press the lever back down to clamp it.

  4. Check through the housing

The clear body lets you confirm the copper is seated past the clamp. To re-wire, lift the lever again.

Note: These are unbranded WAGO-style connectors, not a WAGO product. Mains wiring in New Zealand must be carried out or certified by a registered electrician.

Frequently Asked Questions

Answers to the questions buyers ask most.

Why is this unbranded line discontinued?
We have standardised on the genuine WAGO 221 range. These WAGO-style connectors are brand new and carry our standard 12-month warranty.
Are these genuine WAGO?
No. These are unbranded WAGO-style lever connectors that work the same way for less. If you want the real thing we stock the genuine WAGO 221-412 (2 pole), 221-413 (3 pole) and 221-415 (5 pole).
What is the difference between 2, 3 and 5 pole?
The pole count is the number of wires the connector joins together. A 2 pole joins two wires, a 3 pole joins three and a 5 pole joins five. They are sold individually, so pick the count your splice needs.
What wire can they take?
Solid and stranded from 0.2 to 4mm2 (about 24 to 12 AWG), and fine-stranded from 0.14mm2. You can mix different wire types and sizes in one connector. Strip about 11mm.
Can I reuse them?
Yes. Lift the lever to release a wire and re-clamp it as often as you like, which makes them handy for testing and temporary joins.
Are they safe for mains wiring?
They are rated 32A at 450V for solid and stranded conductors, but they are unbranded and not a WAGO product. Mains wiring in New Zealand must be carried out or certified by a registered electrician.
Does the standard warranty apply?
Yes. These connectors are brand new and carry our standard 12-month warranty.

Why Buy from NZN

Useful parts, fair prices and someone local to help.

I'm Lukas, an engineering student and maker based in Te Awamutu. NZN grew out of a CNC build that dragged on for months because every missing cable, bolt or electronic part meant another overseas order. I started the shop so Kiwi makers can spend more time building and less time waiting for the next parcel.
